For the second year in a row, AMWA GCAC members were able to cast e-ballots for the annual election of officers, and the results of these elections were announced at the Cheesecake Factory at Old Orchard on the evening of November 8, 2007. While guests enjoyed a selection of fabulous cakes and cheesecakes, each of the newly elected and appointed officers shared his or her vision for the coming year. Guests also took the opportunity to ask questions about upcoming events and chapter policies, and the board in turn asked the guests for their opinions on what kinds of things they would like to see done for the membership in the future. Some topics that were discussed included new ideas for the annual chapter educational conference, the distribution of an online survey for members to complete, and networking ideas and opportunities. Other highlights of the evening included the recognition of outgoing board members and the announcement of the lucky door prize winners! This meeting was the start of what promises to be another great year for AMWA GCAC.
